Go to the Cinema Liberated Google map
Where a film is set geographically is important in helping audiences understand where it’s coming from. Since foreign films by definition are from other places, almost every Cinema Liberated review has a map attached to the end of the post. In the map you’ll find the location of where the movie is set as well as other movies sharing the same location or set nearby. Hopefully, the map helps you put a place to a name.
- A PIN is an upside-down coloured tear drop. Placed on a map, it shows you where a film is set.
- Click on a PIN to see what movie has been set there. The map has been made on Google Maps, so move, resize or zoom-in.
- PINs are coloured according to Continents. The Middle East overlaps both African and Asian Continents but have it’s own group due to cultural similarities.
- The movie reviewed will always be the PIN in the center of the map.
- The location is based on where the films are set and not where the filming location actually was.
- Many locations have more than one film set there.
